A Guide to Prepare for IELTS 2022
IELTS is an English language proficiency test that you need to take to get admission in an international university. Both the students and job seekers need to take this test. The test is conducted in two formats academic and general training tests. Academic test is conducted for students planning to study abroad and the general test is for job seekers. The purpose of this test is to assess one’s ability to converse in the English language.
IELTS exams are conducted 48 days in a year, which means a
test is conducted on fortnightly basis. This gives you much time to prepare for
the test as you can select any date at your convenience whenever you are
ready. In this article, we will discuss the steps you can take to prepare
yourself to take the IELTS test. Let’s have a look at how you can give your

· Take a Dummy Test
Take an old IELTS paper/sample paper and take the test as though you are giving the final IELTS paper. The purpose of this exercise is to assess your strengths and weaknesses. You can also opt for online IELTS test preparation.
· Analyse your strengths and weaknesses
Once you have taken the dummy test, you need to assess yourself on the basis of the scores and figure out the areas you lack in. You can also ask a parent, guardian, friend, mentor, etc. to mark the test for you. This way you will get a fair assessment.
· Start the Test Practice
Start with dedicating certain hours of every day for the test preparation. Understand the test format and areas you find yourself lagging a little based on your dummy test scores. Distribute time for each section accordingly and study every day consistently.
· Gather Practice Material and Sample

To help you prepare for the test you will need some form of study material. You can find updated study material and previous year's papers online and in the bookstores. · Improve your English

Start your test preparation and take the test date with respect to the estimated time it will take you to prepare.
· Read More and Read Often
Through reading not only you improve upon your reading skills but also your punctuation, grasping of the language, and ability to comprehend the language gets better. Therefore, take any reading material such as a book, newspaper, magazine, etc., and read at least half an hour every day consistently.
· Prepare Tasks for Yourself
Prepare
speaking tasks for yourself. Take out 15 minutes and keep 5 minutes for 3 tasks
each. In the first five minutes introduce yourself then, speak on a general
topic and in the last five minutes practice having a conversation to improve
your speech. Giving yourself these tasks instead of overwhelming yourself with
study material will be much better and you will also have fun.
Once you feel confident enough to take the test, register for
the closest date. Taking the test is
